Las Vegas MGM Grand Buffet
The flight to Vegas and hauling luggage to check in at the MGM Grand made us famished. We couldn’t wait to eat at the buffets we always read and hear about. Naturally, staying at the MGM Grand, we just had to try the Buffet there!

MGM Grand Buffet Food Counters
With 4 long rows of food, there was a great selection. Mexican, Seafood including Sushi Rolls, Italian and of course American dishes. Too many dishes to list, really. The only regret was not taking more pictures of food directly. We didn’t want to be rude and flash away at every moment while drooling at the food.

MGM Grand Buffet Brisket being carved
A number of stations with meats being grilled, carved and served on the spot. There was steak, brisket, soups, turkey (it was near thanksgiving) and a good amount of other meats to choose from. More after the jump!

MGM Grand Buffet Crab Legs
We had to try a bit of everything. Of course I had to try the steak, good but not as great as a steak house but it is grilled on the spot. The Snow Crab Legs, served hot and cold, was the dish to aim for. If you love it like I do, definitely eat as much as you can. They weren’t very large but then again it is a buffet (you might have to fight for it). Of course save some room for the other foods and dessert too.

MGM Grand Buffet Dessert Table
The Dessert Station was pretty packed with all sorts of treats. Most of the treats are made on the spot so the cookie won’t crumble before you eat it. You will just have to try out a bit of everything. It was delicious and of course we had to attack it as soon as we were full from the other foods.
The pictures below speak for itself on how it tastes.

MGM Grand Lion Habitat
After you’ve overloaded on good delicious food and delectable treats, hop on over to the Lion Habit in the hotel. Of course its free. If you’re lucky, you can catch them at feeding time. After the meal, we felt right at home near the lazy Lions. The buffet was well worth it. Dinner was about $35/person which was not too bad. Save your appetite for it and your money will be well spent. The food is better than cheap buffets and it shows in the price you pay but well worth it, you have to at least try it. Only a handful of other buffets can top the MGM Grand Buffet.

Finishing reading this blog, it makes me very hungry. Last time I went to Vegas, I had a buffet meal at Rio. It was awesome too.
How was the buffet at the Rio? We didn’t have time to stop by and visit that. If its good we’ll have to definitely try that next time.
