Angelo & Maxie's Steakhouse
This restaurant has changed so much since the last time that I’ve visited which was before the renovation in ’96! It went from looking like an old tavern where college students hung out, into this chic classy warm steakhouse. Heck, even the demographics of the people are different now because of this change! All I can say is that a classy restaurant brings in classy people! The one thing that definitely didn’t change at all is how the restaurant caters to groups. In my opinion, I think this restaurant is great for groups since they accommodate large groups. Just call in advance and let them know that you’re coming.
Always make reservations even for two people! You can’t believe how packed it gets, even at 7pm when I arrived. People just keep on coming; waiting at the bar, which is conveniently located by the door, drinking. With the four of us finally here, we go and order!

Angelo & Maxie's Steakhouse Burger
Dave had to admit the burger was great. Nicely cooked and juicy. He loved the fries as well. Can’t go wrong with a burger.

Angelo & Maxie's Home Fries & Hash Brown
I personally did not like the Home Fries because it was fried a little bit too much, which means you can barely taste the potato. Plus it’s pretty filling when you eat it with your steak. I think next time I will order the shoestring fries instead, which is a thinner version of regular french fries. The hash brown tasted great and it goes great with your steak!

Angelo & Maxie's Grilled Lamb Chops
Anthony’s Grilled Lamb Chop was tasty, not too gamey, and grilled perfectly. You’ll have to slice it yourself of course.

Angelo & Maxie's Filet Mignon
This was my dish and it is absolutely delicious! The steak is so juicy and succulent that you don’t need to use their sauce. My only thing about this is that too much of its juices that ends up looking like soup on my plate kind of took away from the steak. I like my steak juicy, but not drenched in it. Nonetheless it was a fabulous piece of meat for just $30!

Angelo & Maxie's T-Bone Steak
The T-bone was very delicious, grilled just like the Filet Mignon. Both were very well grilled and juicy. You won’t be disappointed.
Each person paid about $35 which wasn’t bad at all. For what you’re paying, it is definitely good! They have a wide selection of wines and drinks, its a great group place. Now I leave you with the Health Inspection report card from NYC.gov:
