Mario Batali and his partner, winemaker Joseph Bastianich’s restaurant. Sitting right in the middle of the Venetian Grand Canal and Shops, it has a great view. The restaurant features homely Italian, great varieties of Cheese and Wine.

Everything about this Bucatini all’Amatriciana screamed of fresh. The portion was a medium affair but filling. The tomato sauce was sweet and tasty while the onion was not overpowering. The pasta itself was very good and fresh as well. What the picture didn’t show was the cured pork underneath. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked and tender.

The Grilled Hangar Steak was amazing as well. The picture truly speaks for itself. Cooked to a Medium Rare, very pink inside and grilled perfectly outside, it exploded with juices and flavor. The sweet and light sauce went well along with the fresh Watercrest Salad. Even taking such beautiful pictures do not reveal how fantastic it tasted.

The menu with prices. As you can see, it was fairly moderately expensive dishes but well worth the money. They served us a free glass of white wine so of course we took advantage of that along with breadsticks. Next time we will have to complete Wine and Cheese tasting. We remembered to bring along with us a Restaurant Voucher from Tix4Tonight, a discount ticket company for shows. We had purchased half price tickets for Cirque du Soleil’s Mystere (lucky for us) and recieved this coupon for a 5:30 early dinner with entrees at half price, amazing deal!

Overall, the restaurant had fantastic service and the waiters were definitely knowledgable about wines and cheeses. The food was delicious and we would certainly go back to try more. More to come on our Vegas Dining experiences!
