Torto’s Instant Sesame Paste

Winter is the perfect time to have a nice warm bowl of black sesame paste! When I was a child, my parents would always buy me this and I would always drink bowl and bowls of this sweet decadent delight because it was just so fun and mildly sweet to drink! You can literally drink this at ANY time. I would used to drink it in the mornings before I left for school and then I would drink it again at night before I slept. I really love this! So, if you’re feeling adventurous, pick it up at your local Asian supermarket and try it for yourself!

Torto's Instant Sesame Powder Mix Box

Making this instant sesame drink is like making cup o’ noodles; you just add water. Now it’s important how much HOT water you pour in because if it’s too watery, you can’t taste the full sweetness of the sesame, and if you too too little it will be too thick and it will definitely be too sweet. So just add 3/4 of a cup or to your liking and it will taste just right.

Black Sesame Powder

Step 1: Add Hot Water!

Step 2: Mix Until it Thickens

Add a little more water!

Finished Instant Sesame Drink!

Enjoy yours as I will be finishing my last packet of this instant sesame drink! =)

I remember this! I remember I could never finish it cause it was too sweet. I like the almond flavor one better. Have you ever have that one? I like it really thick

Would you believe it if I told you that I make my own? It’s almost the same as making soy milk but with a few more steps added in.

I love this product too! I have both sesame and peanut flavours.
But one question, how come my packaging is different from your packaging? which supermarket did you buy yours from?

You can get it at any chinese supermarket, well at least in New York City anyways. Just ask an associate in the store and see! You’ll have a better chance if it’s a big chinese supermarket! Good luck!
