The MGM Mirage Las Vegas
The Carnegie Delicatessen at the MGM Mirage is perhaps one of the few restaurants that opens all day and night. There are times where I struggle to find a restaurant, that’s not fast food, after 11:00pm. Unfortunately the Mirage is quite far from the MGM Grand where I stayed, but it is nice to know what there are restaurants open all night. If you’re around the area and you’re done watching a late night show, definitely stop by at this restaurant for an inexpensive late night snack.
Carnegie Deli hails from New York City and it is amazing that I have yet visited there. Since I was in Vegas and brand name chain restaurants seems to be all within walking distance, Finechinaguy and I took the opportunity to stop by here after visiting the Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. Also, the Deli is famous for their roast beef, which I’m not particularly a fan of, but Finechinaguy is so all the more reason to stop by!

Carnegie Delicatessen

Inside look of Carnegie Delicatessen
The Deli is located right next to the Casino and it doesn’t seem to be encased in walls because it’s pretty much spread opened. There is a line with velvet rope that you’ll have to wait on, a short wait in my experience. After about 10 minutes, we were finally seated.

Chicken Noodle Soup
When you receive this order, you get two things: a plate of noodles and a handle with a sprout that contains chicken soup, which is not shown in this picture.
This is a very delicious soup packed with lots of noodles which I love! The soup itself was a little salty, but that’s what the noodles are there for. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not overly salty, but it’s a little bit saltier than what I’m accustomed to and that’s great. The chicken soup flavored noodles was absolute heaven for my mouth! The soft tender noodles with it’s addictive soup was definitely my comfort food. After every bite, my stomach expanded more and more, but luckily give me the feeling of being bloated.

Carnegie Knish
To me, this knish looks more like a pastry than the kind of Knish that I get in New York City! When I saw the size of this, I was pretty excited because it has to be jam packed with potato which I absolutely love! But there can be a chance that it tastes like a bland baked potato with the pastry crust and that is exactly what I felt when I had this. I added ketchup and mustard for extra taste and it tastes great. There is a lot of potato inside, but it was just way too filling for me! After having the soup, I could barely finish this. But I have to say that I prefer the NYC knish from the vendor carts because the skin is thinner without the pastry crust and it is smaller and packed with lots of flavor! If this is your first time coming, I would recommend you to skip this unless you love lots of potato-y goodness!

Roast Beef Sandwich

Closer look of roast beef sandwich
Finechinaguy had this and he can barely finish the sandwich. The trick to eating this sandwich is to eat it in pieces because it’s just way too big to fit in your mouth. He loved the flavor and the texture of the beef and found it very appetizing to eat! I can see that everyone else was eating this sandwich as well so it has to be good!
Anyways, stop by here when you’re in the neighborhood! My meal was inexpensive and cost about $25 for both of us.

that knish is weird looking! I am not very found of the vendor ones.. they are kind of tough and bland. Only got them like two times because I had nothing else to eat.
