Happy Lunar New Year!

February 14, 2010 · Posted in Festivities

The festivities on this day is truly uplifting and enjoyable.  Candies, red envelops, decorations,  flowers, dragon and lion dances, dishes and pastries that I usually see once a year and the list goes on and on.  I find it cute sometimes, but all the preparation and little rules to follow can be a big nuisance.  Anyways, let me show you some pictures of symbolic things for the new year’s.

There are just too many pictures to post, but for now these are just a few items I would like to share with you!  If you get a chance, go out to Chinatown today and enjoy the dragon and lion dances!  Plus there will be firecrackers so that is always a plus!

Next time I will post a long overdue recipe for the Chinese New Year Cake!  I have encountered problems, but my lovely co-worker gave me a foolproof recipe.

Until next time,
