Sunday Afternoon Lunch – Ramen

With the refrigerator almost near empty, the only items that remained were broccoli, dumplings, and spam.  My father needed to go out and decided to whip up a quick meal for me before he leaves since I was bedridden.   And the easiest thing to make is ramen!

Ok, so it’s not your typical amazing Japanese style ramen, but this is proof that you can make anything with it!  The important thing is cook your ramen just right so that it’s not too soft and it’s not too crunch, like it’s al-dente.  The sure way to find out is to take a taste test; but it’s usually 3-4 minutes to complete.   Before the ramen is fully cooked, I believe my father threw in the dumplings, since it takes 2 minutes to cook, and afterwards the broccoli.  While that was being boiled in the pot, my dad pan-fry slices of spam to complete the recipe.   This meal can be completed in 7 minutes

This lunch is delicious, but a little on the salty side because of the spam!  Remember to choose low-sodium spam if you want it in your ramen!  I’m sure it’ll make a huge difference!
